Időbeosztás
Preparation Time: 7 minutes
Competition Time: 6 minutes
Competition Conditions
All competitors will receive the same coffee, water, and equipment at the venue.
During the 7-minute preparation time, competitors will receive the coffee and all relevant information, and can prepare a practice coffee. Grinding, water heating, and dripper rinsing can be performed at this time.
During the 6-minute competition time, 2 (two) V60 filter coffees must be prepared simultaneously for the scoring judges. It is very important that the two servings are prepared using two different dripper devices.
The coffees must be served in Anett Sáfrán aroma cups.
For the Filter Challenge (Compulsory Service), each of the two beverages must be a minimum of 180 ml. If a beverage served is found to be less than 180 ml, it will be deemed “not served” and will not be scored.
The beverage must be an extraction from particles of whole bean coffee, using hot water as the solvent. No other additives of any kind will be allowed. Additional water may be added (“bypass”) to the beverage before serving to alter concentration.
Judging: The winner will be selected by the judges based on a sensory evaluation of every attribute on the WBCR Scoresheet.
Competitors are responsible for keeping the preparation area clean and ready for the next competitor. There will be no “station maintenance” volunteers, so competitors must clean and organize the station at the end of their competition time. Competitors may do this during the evaluation time.
All equipment and supplies will be provided by the organizers:
