BEAN-TO-BAR CHOCOLATE – TANZANIAN KOKOA KAMILI WITH FREEZE DRIED FILTER COFFEE

Limited Edition Collaboration – where Art, Coffee and Chocolate Meet

As part of our latest limited-edition project, we’ve created 350 exclusive coffee-infused bean-to-bar chocolates in collaboration with chocoMe.

Each bar is wrapped in a unique piece of art, hand-painted by Alíz Vojnits during an abstract expressionist live performance set within the iconic industrial halls of Csepel Művek.
The once rigid world of concrete and steel came alive through movement, colour, and emotion – giving birth to a visual identity where art and industry intertwine.

Every chocolate bar is individually hand-decorated with two tiny crystal stones – symbolising not only the connection between coffee and chocolate, but also the way shared moments of indulgence bring people together. Because chocolate – much like coffee – is best enjoyed together.

Specialty Coffee, Reimagined in Chocolate

For this creation, we brewed a filter coffee from Hi New Beans! Beautiful Beans Kenya, then freeze-dried it over three days before blending it into Tanzanian Kokoa Kamili cacao.
This process allows the coffee’s aroma and gentle acidity to merge seamlessly with the cacao’s natural fruitiness. To highlight the vibrant texture and depth, each bar is generously sprinkled with crushed cacao nibs.

The flavour profile was developed under the mentorship of Gabi from Specialty Stories, guided by the principle “what grows together, goes together” – where every element enhances the other in perfect harmony.

About the Cacao – Kokoa Kamili, the Heart of Tanzania

The Kokoa Kamili cacao originates from the Kilombero Valley in Tanzania, a region whose fertile soil and distinctive microclimate yield beautifully complex flavour profiles.
The beans are medium-bodied, with notes of bright fruit, honey, subtle acidity and delicate bitterness – a perfect foundation for bean-to-bar chocolate and fine specialty creations.

In Swahili, Kokoa Kamili means “pure cacao” – a name that reflects both its essence and its process. Local farmers harvest the beans and deliver them to a solar-powered central fermentation house, ensuring quality, consistency, and sustainability from start to finish.

Sustainability and Community

Kokoa Kamili works directly with over 2,000 smallholder farmers, paying above-market prices to ensure fair income and long-term stability.
By keeping profits within the community, the project directly supports education, improved living standards, and local development.
